British-French Submarine Cable CrossChannel Fibre Is Preparing To Build

[Cable Network News] North America and Western Europe communication network developer and operator Crosslake Fiber revealed its latest submarine cable project called CrossChannel Fibre, which is a submarine optical cable system connecting Slough, England and Paris, France, with a total length of about 550 Kilometers.

According to the plan, this system will contain 96 pairs of optical fibers, each of which provides a capacity of more than 20Tbps. To support this project, Crosslake Fiber has authorized EGS, the world's leading ocean survey and service provider, to conduct project maritime surveys.

In addition, Tiger Infrastructure Partners, Crosslake Fibre's capital partner, has invested additional funds into the Crosslake platform to support the CrossChannel Fiber system.

According to the plan, the submarine optical cable system will be put into use in the fall of 2021 (RFS).
