[cable network news]Tyco Electronics subsidiary Subcom and Google announced recently that they have completed the deployment and testing of Dunant submarine cable system connecting Saint Hilaire de Riez of France to virgin beach of the United States. At present, the system is ready for use.

It is understood that the Dunant submarine cable system has a total length of 6600 km, with a design capacity of 250 TBPs and a space division multiplexing (SDM) design with 12 fiber pairs.

Google, an American technology giant, is cooperating with orange, a French telecom service provider. This is also Google's second private submarine cable system after Curie submarine cable.

Curie submarine cable is a submarine optical cable system connecting the United States and Chile. It was launched in 2018 and put into operation in the second quarter of 2020.
