[Cable news] The Egyptian Ministry of communications and information, the Suez Canal Authority and the Egyptian signal Authority recently signed an agreement to build a new optical cable route between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
According to the agreement, the three parties will build a new optical cable path for Internet services between the Red Sea and the Mediterranean Sea through the Al morshedeen Road, thus strengthening Egypt's international position as a major hub of international communication services among Asia, Africa and Europe.
According to the contract, the three parties will cooperate in laying optical cables through the infrastructure of the Suez Canal. At the same time, it will connect to the existing optical fiber network of Egyptian Telecom and provide services through international cables.
This is part of the development of Egypt's Telecom International communication network infrastructure. The construction of international communication network infrastructure is an important part of Egypt Telecom's strategic plan.
