NextEra energy plans to add 30GW of renewable energy by 2024

[cable network news]NextEra energy resources LLC, an American renewable energy company, expects to build 22675 MW to 30000 MW renewable energy power stations, including wind power generation and energy storage devices, by 2024.
NextEra energy currently has 7902 megawatts of wind, solar and energy storage facilities in operation, and has signed another 9321 megawatts of contracts to be implemented this year and next year. According to a report of the parent company, 10525 mw-12700 MW of renewable energy is expected to be added during 2021-2022, and 12150 mw-17300 MW will be added in 2023-2024.
The largest part of the new increase will come from solar installations, with 4800-5600 MW in 2021-2022 and 7000-8800 MW in 2023-2024. In terms of wind power, it is planned to add 3700-4400 MW in 2021-2022 and 2250-3500 MW in 2024.
In 2020, NextEra energy resources put into operation about 5750 megawatts of wind, solar and energy storage plants.
"We believe that we will build about 23 to 30 gigawatts of new renewable energy in the time frame from 2021 to 2024," said Jim Robo, chairman and CEO of NextEra energy.
